Remarks
This hotel is one of our all time favorites in Tokyo for a lot of reasons. First is price, always a factor when choosing a hotel, the Shinagawa Prince has always been a price leader. By not offering services that most of us don't require such as a bell boy to carry your luggage to your room and room service, the hotel is able to pass the savings on to you.

Location, location, location! Across the street from a Shinkansen (Bullet Train) station, if you're arriving or departing Tokyo by train, it doesn't get much closer than this, just walk across the street and up a few stairs. Also, being close to a major train station means there are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood, making it easy to dine like a local. And the restaurants around Shinagawa Station cater more to the working class of Tokyo, unlike the restaurants around Ginza that cater to business men with expense accounts.

Going to the airport? Tokyo now has 2 international airports, Narita Airport and Haneda Airport. The Airport Limousine Bus stops at this hotel providing convenient service to both. This is a huge plus, especially in Tokyo. If you are comparing hotels in Tokyo, location is so important. Remember that flag down in a Tokyo taxi will cost you around US$9.00 and that's just for the first 1.25 miles.
